An Unexpected Collage of Familiarity. Craftsman style house collaged from four different front elevation facades that identifies the elements and materiality of craftsman houses. For example, gabled roof and exposed roof beams. “Craftsman houses were inspired primarily by the work of two California brothers Charles Sumner Greene and Henry Mather Greene. Both practiced together in Pasadena from 1893 to 1914. About 1903 they began to design simple craftsman bungalows.” -Virginia Savage McAlester
